Luis Muñoz (Granada, 1966) graduated in Spanish Philology and Romance Philology at the University of Granada. In 1994 he edited the collective volume El lugar de la poesía and translated, among others, Giuseppe Ungaretti and British poets of the New Generation. His first four books have been included in the anthology Limpiar pescado. His work is represented in some of the most renowned anthologies of contemporary Spanish poetry. He published several volumes such as Calle del mar (1987), Septiembre (Hiperión Award Finalist, Hiperión, 1991), Manzanas amarillas (Award of the City of Cordoba, Hiperión, 1995), El apetito, (PreTextos, 1998), Pequeña antología poética / Luis Muñoz, with a text by Felipe Benítez Reyes (Diputación Provincial de Granada, 2000). Correspondencias (4th International Poetry Prize of the Generación del 27, Visor, 2001), Limpiar pescado, collected poems (Visor, 2005). Querido Silencio (Tusquets, 2006). He has also received the following awards: Finalist of the 6th Hiperión Poetry Award. Award of the City of Cordoba. 4th International Poetry Prize of the Generación del 27. Critical Eye Poetry Prize for the Correspondencias.
