Resumen del libro

Rafael experiences a double torment when he is deserted by his lover and is seized by the Chilean army, who has just recently overthrown the civilian government, and taken to the National Stadium–later revealed as a major center for torture under the dictatorship of General Pinochet–where in order to endure the daily horror the prisoners face, Rafael begins to tell his fellow inmates a long history of love and fantasy that begins to take on a life of its own.
