This book, in dictionary format, gives its reader an all-encompassing look into this writer of romantic literature from the Cuba of the mid-1800s and is a must read for people interested in slavery or early female writers. Illustrated with photographs, three of which are colored. The work was edited by Olga Espejo, librarian at the University of Miami and contains an introduction by Julio E. Hernandez Miyares.
