Interviews and texts about seven selected groups of artists about the cultural and group experience in art during the 1970s. Information on how the groups were formed beginning with the student uprising of 1968, the cultural and political tenure of the period. Also included is the development of object art, installation, environmentalism in relation to the same developments in other parts of the world. Documents such groups as the short lived, Frente Mexicano de Grupos Trabajadores de la Cultura in México, El Taco de la Perra Brava, Grupo Suma, Taller de Investigación Plástica, Grupo Proceso Pentágon as well as the important Mexican participation in the 10th Bienal de Jóvenes in Paris.
